Amazon and global energy and electricity provider Iberdrola announced today an expanded partnership, with Amazon agreeing to purchase 476 MW of solar and wind energy in Spain and Portugal to help match the electricity used in its operations with renewable energy. The new power purchase agreements (PPAs) follow the recent announcement by Amazon that it was the largest corporate purchaser of renewable energy globally in 2024, marking the companys fifth consecutive year in that position.
